Police Credit Union’s Target Market Determination (TMD) documents can be found on this page or provided upon request. Target Market Determinations describe the type of customer that may suit our products based on their objectives, financial situation and needs (target market). A TMD clearly communicates the features, attributes, and exclusions of the product, along with any risks associated to customers.
A TMD also sets out how we can distribute our products and describes situations which may require us to review our products and/or the target market.
Design and Distribution Obligations – Why TMDs are required
From 5 October 2021, to comply with the Treasury Laws Amendment (Design and Distribution Obligations and Product Intervention Powers) Act 2019, Police Credit Union is required to have Target Market Determinations for each of its products. These obligations provide a legal framework for ‘issuers’ and ‘distributors’ of financial and credit products to ensure they design and distribute products that meet customers’ needs and their financial situation.
Customer-centric focus
The design and distribution obligations align with Police Credit Union’s organisational purpose and vision of always placing our customers at the forefront, ensuring that we are providing products that deliver outstanding value and best suit our customers’ needs and financial aspirations.
If you have any queries about a Target Market Determination or our products, please call our Contact Centre on 1300 131 844 or visit a branch.
