There’s a lot to love about the bustling town of Mount Gambier, and even more to love about working at our Police Credit Union branch located on Helen Street.
The beauty of living in a regional town is how close everyone is, and this close-knit nature is reflected in our Mount Gambier branch. Working in the team means you’re not only part of a small family, but also a larger extended family, with regular Members and new faces visiting the branch each day.
Now, there’s a rare opportunity for some very special people to join the team. We are looking for people with experience in banking, lending and/or relationship management. We also have a vacancy for a Member Service Officer, which is a great way to get your foot in the door of the banking industry with many opportunities for role progression. This is a way you can work with individuals in your local community helping them with their aspirations like buying their family car or first property.
Whether you already live in the area or craving a sea change, these roles could be what you’ve been looking for! To find out more, get in touch with our People & Culture team at [email protected].
So, why would you enjoy a job at our Mount Gambier branch?

Team members of the Mount Gambier branch have decades of experience.
Work for a well-established brand and build great relationships
Police Credit Union has a strong brand presence in the Mount Gambier community and is a well-respected place to work and bank. No day will feel the same, as you build on existing and new relationships with Members.
In the six weeks I was working in the branch, we had Members bringing in treats they baked because the branch vibe was so good.

Live in a beautiful area close to popular travel destinations
Whether you’re a Mount Gambier local or interested in making the move, this is the perfect spot to base yourself for weekend getaways or daytrips. You’re only a short flight (or drive) from Melbourne and Adelaide, or even closer to Robe, Penola and the beautiful Coonawarra wine region. If you don’t want to venture far, right at your doorstep is the picturesque Blue Lake, Umpherston Sinkhole, and many national parks for your nature fix.
Mt Gambier itself is such a pretty place. Everything is close by and convenient. It’s a small but a big town. There is a great bakery that sells amazing tuna mornay pies in walking distance from the branch!
