Embarking on your next trip is exciting, and while you hope the unexpected does not happen, it is best to be prepared.
Buying Police Credit Union Travel Insurance for your trip can offer cover for minor things, like a delayed suitcase*, or significant things, like an unexpected trip cancellation* or an overseas medical emergency*. We’ve partnered with emergency medical assistance provider, Allianz Global Assistance, to ensure you have the support and care you need.
Features and benefits
24/7 emergency assistance
If you need help while travelling, Australian-based case managers are here for you 24/7, with registered nurses and doctors available for overseas policies.
Pre-existing medical condition cover
You may be eligible for pre-existing medical condition cover on Comprehensive, Multi-Trip and Domestic plans using the Police Credit Union Travel Insurance online medical assessment, which provides an instant outcome.
Claims process
If something happens while you are travelling, you can make a claim with the online claims portal. Claim online while you are still travelling or when you return.
Travel warnings, epidemics & pandemics
Always consult the smartraveller.gov.au website prior to any travel.
There is no cover under any benefit of this policy if your claim arises because you didn’t follow an advice or warning that a reasonable person would have been aware of, that has been issued by the Australian government (when a ‘reconsider your need to travel’ or ‘do not travel’ alert is in place), which can be found on Smartraveller; or which was published in a reliable mass media source.
This applies even if the Australian government has given you permission to travel, or you fall under a specific exemption where there is otherwise a travel ban in place.
In addition to visas, countries may require proof of COVID-19 test results; vaccination requirements; and compulsory travel insurance, with proof of adequate medical benefit cover. Check with the nearest embassy, consulate or immigration department of the destination you are entering. If you require additional documentation regarding your international travel insurance policy due to international entry requirements, please contact us on 1800 011 060.
Before buying our travel insurance, and while you’re travelling, check Smartraveller and Allianz Partners for travel alerts or advisories for your intended destination(s).
